Football Manager 2021 Mobile will land on the iOS and Android stores on November 24th. To get you fully prepared for another successful season ahead, here are this year’s squad additions. YOUR WORLD JUST GOT BIGGER There are three brand-new nations for you to test your managerial prowess as we welcome Argentina, Mexico and Canada to the Football Manager Mobile series. This means there are new divisions to dominate and a fresh pool of players to scout – unearth the gems hiding in those parts of the world. TOTALLY REVAMPED TACTICS Tactics in FM21 Mobile have been finely tuned so you can get the very best out of your squad. Managers now have more tools to play with including a host of renewed tactical templates as well as brand-new player roles. Simply select a tactical style from pre-sets so you can Gegenpress, Tiki-Taka or Route One your way to glory. Within that tactics, you can now deploy Roaming Playmakers and Inverted Wingers in your team to give you new ways to piece together your tactical masterplan. This revamp also considers set-pieces, which have been re-defined for the FM21 season. Not only can you assign a list of set-piece takers, but you can now dictate player instructions for both defending and attacking dead-ball scenarios. Get your centre-backs and target men in prime positions to meet the ball in dangerous areas at both ends of the pitch or organise intricate short-corner routines to surprise your opponents. BRAND NEW PLAYER DYNAMICS Squad hierarchy and player social groups give you, the manager, the full picture of your team. Understanding squad dynamics is crucial when controlling player morale and building success as a squad. Learn how your players operate and communicate together to create an atmosphere everyone can develop in. This new feature is bolstered by the addition of Club Captains. Now you can assign a captain and vice-captain when you walk into the training ground doors on day one. In FM21 Mobile, like in other iterations of FM, the captain’s role is crucial in maintaining a relationship between you and your players. Get the skipper on your side and the dressing room will be a happier place but upset your captain and your team’s morale may suffer. You cannot afford to get things wrong with the team’s leader. NEW AND IMPROVED INTERACTION You now have far more interaction options, including both conversation topics and answers. You’ll be able to speak to players and the media on a whole host of different subjects, giving you the detail you need to control every moment and make decisions in your club’s best interest. On the other end of these conversations, most commonly, will be players as FM21 has revamped their role in interactions. Players now give far more feedback to the events they experience and will be more vocal – as they are in real life – in reaction to things they admire or are unhappy about. FEEDER CLUBS Existing affiliate links between elite clubs and feeder clubs now allow those managers to send and receive young players on loan to help aid their development while winning valuable points for the feeder team. FM21 Mobile also allows you to create new affiliate links with feeder clubs so you can build your network in order to secure valuable deals. ENHANCED NEWS AND MEDIA News items and media articles are now much more reactive and responsive to you and your club’s movements. You’ll have the ability to comment on what you see too which can come in handy when you have to defend your player’s poor performances and publicly back your squad. FM21 Mobile blurs the lines slightly between the match action and the media reaction. CUSTOMISE PRE-SEASON FM21 Mobile gives you the ability to arrange your own friendlies. This new level of customisation allows you to test your squad against the very best and work on pre-season sharpness. And that’s it, another exciting season of FM21 Mobile awaits with new features that bring you ever closer to the football world you’re creating. Join the conversation about it with the GM Games community…

Com2uS has announced that it has acquired 100% of the stake in Out of the Park Development (OOTP), a German game company. Founded in 1999, OOTP is a German company that provides PC-based sports management games such as Out of the Park Baseball (OOTP Baseball) and Franchise Hockey Manager. OOTP Baseball is a management game that has secured the license of MLB, an American professional baseball game, and is currently being serviced through the Steam platform and online downloads. Com2uS is expecting high synergy between the two companies with this acquisition of OOTP. Com2uS, which already has the know-how of global sports licensed games such as MLB, NBA, and KBO, plans to strengthen its competitiveness by adding OOTP’s management genre capabilities. In addition, the company is in a position to successfully lead the global market expansion of OOTP games and mobile version services through organic collaboration. Com2uS has raised its brand status through global business performances in the United States and Europe, as well as a long-established global business network, and will further promote M&A for overseas companies in the future. Markus Heinsohn, CEO of OOTP answers questions about the acquisition: Q: How long do you intend to stay on board before the next project? A: I have absolutely no plans to leave the company anytime soon. It’s my dream job and what I can do best, so why change? Andreas will retire in about 3 years, he’s already a grizzled veteran. Q: I know that COM2US has kinda good in-game graphics in their mobile games, such as MLB 9innings. Can I expect their graphic nohows can be adapted into OOTP pc? A: We do not know yet how the 3D engine of the Com2uS products work, so for the short- & medium-term future, the OOTP 3D engine will stay in place. Q: And do you expect a change in the billing policy to occur? I know that Korean games are very charge-inducing. A: No change here, shop systems will remain the same. Q: Will there be a price increase for the next product? A: I am pretty sure the answer to that is no. We have toyed with that idea in the past, since games have been at the same price for decades while everything else got more expensive, but I think $39.99 is still the sweet-spot for us. Q: I know Com2us has a different league license (eg KBO). So, do you have any plans to make other leagues a reality like MLB? A: Yes, that is the plan. Q: As you know, Korean fans of OOTP have long wanted to translate OOTP into Korean. Is it finally the moment they’ve been waiting for? A: Yes, translation work starts immediately and we hope it’ll be done in time for the OOTP 22 launch. Q: Congrats. What would you anticipate to be the biggest positive impact or difference in the game in 3 years due to this sale? A: Thanks! I think all areas will benefit, as we now have bigger resources and more experience in the background. If I had to guess though, the biggest progress will probably be made with our mobile product(s), as here our experience so far has been quite limited. Q: What does this mean for the development of PT? Will you be drawing on COM2US for development advice, given their track record in running microtransaction-model games? A: They are very happy with PT, but you are right, they have lots of experience with these kind of game modes. We’ll see if that experience can be applied to PT in a meaningful way… I personally expect this to happen more for marketing purposes than the game design itself. Come join the discussion about the acquisition…

Markus Heinsohn, CEO of OOTP answers questions about the acquisition:

Q: How long do you intend to stay on board before the next project?

In my first season coaching the Daytona Beach Wildcats, my season expectations were low. I was expected to win only 6 games and bow out ingloriously at the end of the season. I managed to win 7 games and blew out the #3 seed in my conference tournament before taking the inglorious bow that I was expected to all along. Seeing a glimmer of hope I rushed into recruiting season hoping to land a new guard that could help advance the team in the postseason.I was hooked. Campus Dynasty plays a lot like many other sports games on the market except that this game is a free app for Apple and Android. And it’s good. Like really good. I have to admit, when I picked this game up for the first time, I was hesitant. Many phone-based games just aren’t all that great or have some sort of paywall that prevents you from really getting good unless you buy into the game. This game surprises in that it is both a very solid simulation and it is completely free. There are no paywalls, no coins to buy and no gimmicks. It is purely a phone-based simulation. Build Your World The game begins with you making a coach for yourself. You get to customize the look with some nice options. From there you are tasked with choosing a school. However, unlike many other games of this kind, Campus Dynasty makes you choose from mid-major schools and below to start. There is no option to take over for Duke and run your way to an instant championship. All of the schools available have a prestige level in the 30s or below and require you to build to something greater. This process is done in the season by setting your lineups, your strategy and your usage all from a handy dashboard that allows you to make meaningful tweaks on the fly. Starting in an unsuccessful program offers a unique challenge and prevents you from giving yourself an advantage. You will be dropped into a fictional conference, and given a low expectation. The first few seasons have you trying to grind out conference tournament wins. That is going to be the only way to try and reach the Big Dance is by winning your individual conference. Once you have established yourself, at the end of each season you get a new prestige level for the program. It can go up or down depending on your previous performance. Also at the end of the season, other schools that are down on their luck are going to try and recruit you. Here is where the game really begins to shine. You can either choose to take a better job and start climbing the prestige ladder up towards the Top 25 or you can try and stay and build a mid-major program into a respectable school over time. Both are equally fun and pose their own challenges. If you choose to stay and build a program in the bottom tier of schools scheduling and recruiting become all that more important. You need to start building a long term program by putting together favorable schedules and under the radar prospects that are going to be able to grind out conference wins for a chance to advance via your conference tourney at the end of the year. If you decide to start climbing the ladder, you need to win splashy games with the team you have now in an attempt to catch the eye of the next best school. If you don’t perform well immediately or can’t secure that next job you have to make sure the team is built to win now so it can propel you upwards. I did both approaches with my time in the game and both are different and each is extremely fun. In my game as Daytona Beach, I started tanking my nonconference schedule in order to wrack up easy wins and focus on conference play. When I was trying to climb the ladder as Terra Haute State, I loaded up my nonconference schedule with the bigs in the Top 25 in order to try and get a shocking upset to boost my name. The game takes place in an unlicensed fictional universe but you can figure out which teams are supposed to be which pretty easily. There is also a mod that you can find right here at GMGames that allows you to import real-life names and logos into the game if you want to turn it into a more realistic simulation. An Amazing Simulation The most impressive thing about this game is the robust nature of the simulation itself. This game has everything you could want from an NCAAM management game. It has a fully dynamic Top 25 ranking system, conference rankings, fully realized conference tournaments, the full 64 team National Championship tournament, it has recruiting, statistic tracking, a customizable nonconference schedule, a simulated NBA draft of star players, dynamic news feed and it keeps track of the history of the world including records and Hall of Fame caliber players. It is a fully realized simulation of a realistic, living world that is honestly stunning for a mobile app. Not only does it have every feature you could want in an NCAAM simulation but it runs like lightning. You can simulate a whole season in about ten minutes. Day to day simulations do not hang, they don’t stutter or miss a beat. There are some computer programs that cannot say that about the smoothness of their simulation. Especially since this game simulates the full slate of 256 Division I level teams. In case you do run into performance issues, though I never did, there is an option to cut down the number of teams from 256 to 128. Then there is the recruiting system, which allows you to recruit players every year from a pool of 800 of them. Recruiting can be daunting but taking a gamble on a high potential player from the bottom levels of the list or swinging for the fences at a recruit that is above your program’s weight gives you such a rush. This system is fully realized, taking place in three rounds of point-based recruitment, similar to what you see in a game from Wolverine Studios. I got such a jolt when I managed to lure away an A- potential player just outside the top 100 from a big school due to my persistent recruitment. Unfortunately, he only stuck around for a year before departing for bigger and better things but it showed me that you could recruit above your weight class, although landing a big prospect was rare while in the lower leagues. Overview Campus Dynasty is the ultimate way to take your favorite kind of game with you in your pocket. It is not only a good game for mobile, but it is also a good game period. It has everything needed to sink its hooks in you. Soon you’ll be muttering “one more season” or “if I could just land this center, we’ll be ready for greatness”. It is a great experience. The best part is, it does not pigeon hole you into play a certain way. It allows you to play the way you want to play. If you want to simulate the season game by game, tweaking your strategy for each individual opponent, checking box scores and stats as you go to try and squeeze the most out of your team you can do that. Or, if you want to recruit your players, set a strategy for the year and let the season simulate in a few minutes before playing the postseason and see how your team does on its own, you can also do that. You can chew through seasons, build a world in a day or so with years of history or you can spend days simulating it out game by game. It is a game that really knows its audience and it shows. Did you know we have a #campus-dynasty discord channel? Yup. Come chat. Leave a comment for Grant or GM Games on reddit

I ponder whether or not to apply for another coaching position

Ranked #109 we have a shot at landing this big recruit since we have a hometown advantage.

Overview

Campus Dynasty is the ultimate way to take your favorite kind of game with you in your pocket. It is not only a good game for mobile, but it is also a good game period. It has everything needed to sink its hooks in you. Soon you’ll be muttering “one more season” or “if I could just land this center, we’ll be ready for greatness”. It is a great experience.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block; text-align: center;" data-ad-layout="in-article" data-ad-format="fluid" data-ad-client="ca-pub-0570929019580237" data-ad-slot="3596724144"></ins>

The best part is, it does not pigeon hole you into play a certain way. It allows you to play the way you want to play. If you want to simulate the season game by game, tweaking your strategy for each individual opponent, checking box scores and stats as you go to try and squeeze the most out of your team you can do that.

I stay put and add a point of prestige to our program. Progress!

If you go into playing MLB Manager 2015 with the idea that you’re getting a stripped-down version of OOTP ‘16 for your desktop, well, that’ll tell part of the story. Sure, there isn’t as much details as a game that we gave a 98/100 just a couple months ago. And for an iOS game, of course that level of detail won’t be able to be condensed down into a version that’ll fit on your phone. But honestly, this year’s iOS version gives you pretty much all you could handle in a handheld version. Here’s a look at the open screen. For the buy seasons option, you can either buy individual seasons, or packs such as these: …which will seem awfully familiar if you remember from the desktop version. One thing that did give me trouble in this part of the game was backing out of these menus, as the load screens had a tendency to catch. Similarly, and this may have been an issue isolated to my almost two-year old phone, but the bottom right buttons didn’t work — such as return in the previous picture — unless I had my phone in one specific direction. That was a little odd, but again, possibly just a problem on my end. When you start, you get a truncated version of the opening options from the desktop game, along with the space to enter your name and decide if you want to run a fantasy draft — something I opted not to do. Then, it brings you to a landing screen that — especially if you’re daunted by the one in the desktop version — is a really nice balance of detailed but not particularly cluttered. The interface is intuitive, and the menus are easy to navigate with the buttons of adequate sizing even for someone with sausage fingers such as myself. I had little trouble setting my opening day lineups and rosters, and the faster loading menus in this part are what led me to believe my earlier difficulties were isolated issues. A quick exchange of emails between me and my owner lets me know that he expects a .500 team, and it’s time to check the rosters and see how accurate they are. For a minor league buff such as myself, it’s easy to get lost in the vast array of depth on the desktop version. On the iOS version, it’s stripped down a bit, as there’s just “the minor leagues” as a general concept rather than individual levels. For Michael Cederoth, a recent Twins draft pick, I wanted to get a feel for how accurate his ratings were. On his player page, I have the option of making the following suggestions — all of which are super-intuitive. I did the same for 2013 first-round pick Kohl Stewart: Those ratings adequately mirror the general expectations for Stewart’s ceiling as a potential big leaguer. In short, the ratings are accurate, and that’s a huge plus in this game’s favor. The same goes for uber-prospect outfielder Byron Buxton: As noted, the game is full of easy-to-navigate menus that will give you pretty much all the information you could ask for: Customization is also key, not only in that you can edit each of your players to fit your whim, but also in terms of in-game specifics. Now, when you’re playing each game individually it’s easy to call for a bunt, a steal or to take a pitch for instance. But if you prefer to be a caretaker from a distance, you can use dials to ratchet your preferences up or down in the game’s finer points: Prefer to be a small ball style manager with bunts and baserunning? Easy peasy. Or are you more like me, a Moneyball-style guy who prefers not to give away outs on the bases or at the plate? That’s no tougher either, as I’ve been known to manage teams that attempt fewer than steals a season. It’s all about knowing your personnel and what they’re capable of, especially in a game with this sort of depth. Speaking of depth, global depth charts make it easy to make sure your guys get rest when they need it. And not only that, but that they’re replaced by the proper utility players on the proper intervals. This is nothing new to this iteration of the game, but it’s still interesting and noteworthy nonetheless. As you can see, that’s the default Twins lineup for when the game is booted up, and it’s exactly the Twins’ Opening Day setup as well. That’s a nice bit of realism that might go unnoticed by the casual fan. The drop-and-drag setup to move players around the batting order is an extremely easy feature to use, and makes issues of having to navigate multiple menus — especially on a phone — a thing of the past. For some reason the game had Trevor Plouffe batting leadoff and Brian Dozier batting fifth, but a quick drop-and-drag fixed that problem in a quick hurry. Now, we’re ready to go to battle. You could almost be convinced you’re looking at the desktop version as it pertains to details on the play screen. This is where your creativity can really run wild, as you can call for numerous different plays based on situations, tendencies, and pretty much anything else you can imagine. A nicely-dressed young man has the call, and we are underway. The in-game menus play pretty much exactly like the desktop version, with the ability to pitch around guys, take pitches, steal bases, hit and run and pretty much any other in-game strategy you could devise. It isn’t long before our first trade offer comes in. It isn’t particularly interesting, but it’s probably pretty realistic. These will roll in throughout the season, and in an interesting twist, in larger numbers in the offseason via a “Winter Meetings” feature. The June draft is five rounds, and while the scouting for it is not quite as in-depth as the desktop version, there’s still plenty to think about as you prepare for each of your selections. Players are a little easier to sort through — thanks to the sheer number of how many fewer there are, no doubt — but a five-round draft given the depth — or lack thereof — with the farm systems in this game seems to be a good fit. Gone are the July 2 international signings, but that’s a mode that’s arguably as deep as the draft in the desktop mode, and with no ideal way to pare it down really. That might be a deal breaker for a die-hard fan, but for a casual player it probably is still alright. As you can see, the first season didn’t go terribly well for Mr. Warne and the Twins. That however doesn’t mean that the game didn’t deliver. iOS users might expect to find a game that’ll be a time killer between meetings and on flights. This has potential to be much more than that.

For the buy seasons option, you can either buy individual seasons, or packs such as these:

…which will seem awfully familiar if you remember from the desktop version.

Those ratings adequately mirror the general expectations for Stewart’s ceiling as a potential big leaguer. In short, the ratings are accurate, and that’s a huge plus in this game’s favor. The same goes for uber-prospect outfielder Byron Buxton:

As noted, the game is full of easy-to-navigate menus that will give you pretty much all the information you could ask for:

As you can see, the first season didn’t go terribly well for Mr. Warne and the Twins. That however doesn’t mean that the game didn’t deliver.

iOS users might expect to find a game that’ll be a time killer between meetings and on flights.

This has potential to be much more than that.

iOOTP is making a big push to become one of the most popular mobile video games. Traditionally sports management games have been niche yet this power-play in association with the MLB branding will be very interesting to see. As part of building the awareness of the original game, OOTP Developments has made iOOTP 2014 available for free through the iTunes Apple Store. Below is a summary of what can be expected of MLB Manager 2015, due in the next few weeks. The content below is courtesy of OOTP Developments latest update: Officially Licensed By MLB.com Yes, like Out of the Park Baseball 16, MLB Manager 2015 will feature authentic league and team logos for all Major League Baseball teams, including historical ones! Real 2015 Major League Baseball 40-Man Rosters Each team will have its actual 40-man projected Opening Day roster, along with an additional 20-25 top prospects, for a total of 60-65 players. As in previous versions of the game, your prospects will remain on a minor league roster until they’re ready to be promoted to the majors. Android Support Yes, that’s right: MLB Manager 2015 will be available on iOS and Android for the first time! Look for it in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store when it’s released next month. (The exact date is TBA, but if you’re on social media, be sure to follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook for the latest news.) Shop a Player As in OOTP, you’ll now be able to shop a player around and field offers from other GMs. When you see an offer you like, you can begin trade negotiations and add more players to both sides. Simulate to Date X Now you’ll be able to simulate ahead to a specific date, instead of just a day or a week at a time. And a new Don’t Disturb feature will let you do uninterrupted long-term simulations and watch your league history grow. Player Shortlist See a player whose career you want to keep track? Add him to your shortlist so you can quickly see his profile any time. That’s particularly useful when you trade a player and want to see how his career unfolds. (Hopefully with as few regrets as possible.) Career Stats Leader Boards Every player with 10 years or more of experience is eligible for inclusion in the new leader boards for career stats. Now you can follow the races for new career home run and strikeout kings, as well as the leaders in many other stats. Improved In-Game Subs Many of you asked for this, so we’re happy to say that when you make a substitution during a game, you will now see the current game situation, as well as the selected player so you don’t accidentally remove the wrong player. This will be handy when playing ahead in the game. Better Trading AI You’ll receive more offers when you put a player on the trading block, as well as better offers when shopping a player around. [justified_image_grid preset=12 row_height=245 prettyphoto_social=yes prettyphoto_theme=dark_rounded lightbox=prettyphoto max_rows=2 custom_width=760 width_mode=responsive_fallback randomize_width=100 developer_link=hide ng_random_images=39]

A brand new mobile football management game has arrived at the iTunes apple store. Title Challenge is an effort by an indie development studio named Kyan Games. A first glance it appears they are saying all the right things. The leads at Kyan Games are paying tribute to the simplicity of the original Championship Manager 01/02 and are looking to translate the balance of that simulation game algorithm into the right recipe for mobile gaming fun-factor. Their acknowledgement of what makes a successful game goes further in respecting the need for a high resolution user interface. A cartoon approach is their attempt at building the immersion. It will remain to be seen if the game has the footing to uproot the fanatic following of one particular juggernaut (FMH) and the other entries in the mobile sports management territory. Let’s get a bit more granular about Title Challenge (iOS) WHY DO WE NEED ANOTHER FOOTBALL MANAGEMENT GAME? Laurent at Kyan Games: I love the early Championship Manager games, basically since the release of CM 93 I’ve owned and played them to death. I still play modded version of those games now using DOSbox. Paul at Kyan Games: I’ve never really stopped playing the classic Champ Man 01/02 release and I still pour hours into Sensible World of Soccer. Both of these games have the perfect balance of fun gameplay features and just enough ‘real-life’ simulation. Laurent at Kyan Games: We felt these early games were a perfect fit for mobile and the existing games weren’t quite hitting the spot for us. So we decided to pursue our dream of building a “back to basics” football management game with a focus on fewer features, designed for mobile. FEATURES Manage your favourite club from England, Spain, Germany, France and Italy Update players and clubs using the free built-in data editor Fast-paced gameplay – Complete a season in a matter of hours Autosave feature – Pick up and play right where you left off Drag and drop tactics with intelligent positioning Upgrade your training facilities to develop the stars of the future Upgrade your stadium to increase your club reputation Use your scouting network to identify transfer targets [justified_image_grid preset=12 row_height=245 prettyphoto_social=yes prettyphoto_theme=dark_rounded lightbox=prettyphoto max_rows=2 custom_width=760 width_mode=responsive_fallback randomize_width=100 developer_link=hide ng_random_images=38]
