You not only get to select actual NHL players to your team, but you also get create a lineup out of them, coach them, and make trades and compete for winning the cup against other GMs, actual people, around the World! In addition to developing your franchise through drafting young prospects as well!
In real evolution mode, player’s skills are determined each season based on their stats in the NHL, which brings the fantasy hockey element to the game. Interacting and playing with other people brings a social element and reality aspects that playing manager games against computer operated teams simply can’t offer.
Being the GM of a franchise, building your team and competing for the cup season after season, against other human GMs… that’s the founding of what is easily the most realistic manager game I personally have ever played.
So to me, WebSim Hockey is a brilliant, well-made online manager game that is played without having to install any software to a computer, and despite the vast amount of information on the site, is very well mobile optimized at well and can be smoothly operated on a phone as well. And, the way the game incorporates the fantasy element as well, it really adds a whole new layer into staying up-to-date with hockey.
I definitely recommend every hockey fan, fantasy hockey fan and/or manager game fan giving WebSim Hockey a try – especially as it can be tried out for free, and the payment structure is very reasonable going forward as well.
