Build a dynasty with the World’s best players
You enjoy following the players' statistics, you know who has potential and who is on the decline, you even know the prospects who haven't played in the league yet? Then leagues with real player evolution are definitely for you.
This mode of play offers unparalleled realism as you have to build your team without being in total control of the evolution of players from one season to the next. Rather, it is the performance of the players in the real world, which is then transposed into the game, that determines the progress of each player and your team.
Your team performs and evolves in Virtual Mode
Start with past or current players and watch your team evolve. You can even create fictional players and add them to your draft or as free agents!
The evolution curve of your players is known in advance by considering different factors such as the age of the player or the games played, for example. This is a game mode for those who like to analyze numbers and/or those who like strategy games without being completely up to date with real players' value.
Retro Leagues: infinite pleasure and nostalgia with players from the 70s up to now
Go back in time with players of yesteryears, as far back as the 1972-73 season! Bring back the legends of hockey and create your dream team with Bobby Orr, Darryl Sittler, Guy Lafleur and Ray Bourque, the Broad Street Bullies and those nasty Bruins-Habs rivalries. Will you draft Super Mario in 1984 or Eric Lindros in 1991? Everything is possible with a Retro league.
Retro players evolution: real or virtual?
Both options are available and again offer specific features for each. In the case of a retro league with real evolution of players, you recreate the story using the performances of each season that has been played. For example, starting in 1985-86, players would be evaluated based on the 1985-86 season alone. The following season, players would be updated with statistics from their 1986-87 season and so on.
Will you be able to choose your players based on the peak performance of each player in their career, knowing that their development curve will be real?
In a retro league with virtual player evolution, players are evaluated according to their entire career, not just one season. So, if you start in 1995-96, you will use the players who were present that year, and they will be evaluated according to their career. This ensures that your players are always up to par with what they have been in the majority of their careers, the difference being that their evolution curve is predictable. You are more in control! But you will have other challenges because the competition will be fierce!
There are more than 4000 active armchair managers among the more than 1000 existing leagues. As on most social networks, become friends with them on Websim Hockey and you will be able to chat, comment, share videos, and criticize what's going on in your leagues, in the NHL or your favorite team's record as they miss the playoffs for the 4th time in 5 years...
