This is a rather interesting hockey game. Seasons are only 2 weeks long, making it quite fast. Other games usually try to stick to real life season, making it too long for my taste. Two weeks is a nice balance.
Through the seasons you have to respect the salary cap, which is pretty much the same as the NHL. You can hire new players or renew the contracts of your current players, if you’re willing to pay for an increased salary.
Every league has about 30 players in it. You can talk to people through the wall page. There is no friend system, but there is something similar to it, called the rival system. You can’t send direct message to people, but you can tag them in the wall if you want to get their attention. I’m hoping to see a more robust social system in place (private message, groups, emoticons, filtering of messages on the wall, etc.).
They are very very active on facebook. If you have a question, a comment or just want to participate into the game, this is a good place to go. Some leagues are more active than others and most of the time, most active people will be posting on their facebook page as well.
