First, you need reasonably functioning brain cells. Second, you read the “how to” and watch the setup videos.
Browse the massive user forum for tips for car setup and driver stats info. Then you try racing and don’t get a good result.. That’s when the fun starts, as there is ENDLESS stuff to figure out and get better. Get a Mentor (loads of great mentors in this game). If you join a team (be a nice person, willing to give it a go), you will get better results and understanding of game mechanics, way faster. Even if in no team, without a mentor, just ask nicely on the noob forum and several people will help you out.
Basically a great game lasting for years.
There is NO pay to win in this game, what so ever.
This is not an “instant gratification game”, as it takes time to get good at it.
But the feeling of getting your first hard earned points, the first race win (omg), the first league season win, the first cup win, the first “Hat trick (Pole, Win and fastest lap), the first “Grand Chelem” (Pole, fastest lap, win and leading every lap) is literally amazing.
Promoting to Amateur, then Pro and Master, before possibly joining the Elite League, if you are good enough. I’m not quite good enough for Elite, but am having an awesome time in the Pro/Master leagues. 🙂
But, this game is NOT for people with below average IQ, as they just get frustrated over not getting it. This is NOT a game where you get instant gratification, like FIFA, Fortnite etc.. 😉
