As someone who has looked far and wide for hockey simulation games online, this is probably the best game you’ll ever find.
The general setup of the game has an already great idea, based around the slow moving time so it feels authentic, and the real-time game simulations make things interesting as you are able to watch your team in real time.
The sim engine and attribute setup are second to none, with an engine that consists of tactics that are well-structured and customizable, as the player can set the exact tactics they would like to run, from line combinations all the way down to strategy.
Finances bring a new level of creativity and authenticity to the game, requiring players to not only manage a winning team but balance the budget as well. GMs are able to negotiate contracts with free agents, as well as go into realistic negotiations with current players on a contract extension.
The scouting and draft are pristine, with GMs easily being able to select the types of scout they would like to do, from scouting an individual prospect to looking for hidden gems in a draft class. The draft board are easy to understand, and the customization for your rankings and selections can help you pinpoint exactly who you want to scout and select.
If all of this wasn’t great already, the game has a strong community of over 200 members that are able to not only make trades, discuss tactics and have a great environment, but also are eager to welcome new players to the game and will happily answer any questions that both new players and veteran players may have about the game. Hockey Dynasty is an amazing game and having played it for 18 months to this point, I’ve loved every second of it. However, this game will only continue to get better, with some features in the works that will make the game even better than it is already.
