User Reviews – Progression Football

Amazing

Excellent (and improving) take on the genre

This is still very much a work in progress, but the dev is active and responsive to users on the game’s discord server. However, even with where it’s at, PF provides a solid entry into the genre with a lot of potential. First and foremost, it’s completely free. The only purchases available as of writing are a few cosmetic options to alter team logos. The game is played entirely th...[Read More]

Great game with a great community

Really wonderful game. Active community, welcoming and non-toxic discord, interesting people – drawn here by a wonderful game. The best thing I can think of to say about the game is that the decisions and risks that you make and assume as a manager feel *realistic*. Development is ongoing, and the simulation is missing certain aspects of football (timeouts and onside kicks among them) but th...[Read More]

After more than a decade, I found the perfect GM game

After 13 years of playing manager games, I have to say that Progression Football is the best one out there.   It is the first game when you actually have to make choices, not play a guy for 5 seasons and guarantee he will be godlike.   The best quality is realism. The uncertainty about the draft, the “bets” you have to make on specific players, the chemistry on the team, the ...[Read More]

Great game full of great people.

I’ve been searching for a game like this for a long time and honestly this is the best I’ve played. The fact you share the experience with others just adds to the excitement and fun. It’s feature rich and is only getting improved more and more. The owner constantly fixes bugs, adds features, engages with his community to get feedback. If you’re looking for a great community...[Read More]

The Name Says It All

“Progression” indeed. As in, this game is “progressing” past some other really good games that are out there. You can play single-player and/or multi-player, public or private. You don’t just have a run-pass ratio, you have a playbook. The positions are more realistic than most, such as DT and DE, where in most games it’s just DL. You can set up leagues with a n...[Read More]

Great Multiplayer GM

I almost never write reviews for games, but this game is worthy of it. Now although this game isn’t perfect, what GM game really is. It has a great sim engine almost never allowing 0-17 teams or 17-0, giving users the ability to play with friends. The trading system is extremely realistic, and allows a good user interface letting players change in game settings such as halftime adjustments, ...[Read More]

Active developer who listens to those playing

Since I started playing a few months back, the game has moved forwards at such a fast rate because the developer is so clever, inspirational and reflective (and no, he’s not a friend of mine!). But he listens to any suggestions and takes feedback daily. Any major or minor tweaks are discussed and most often implemented within a week. It has the potential to be the most played game of them all. I h...[Read More]

Great Game

Absolutely amazing game. Best simulation football game I have ever played, and probably will play. Very nice dev who is always working on the game to improve it. He actually listens to and implements feedback, and it really helps the game become better. Definitely deserves a 10/10, probably even better.
