I absolutely love the real time pace of this game. I know that for many it might seem slow but the satisfaction and rewards of building your team are that more greater.
The second thing I absolutely love about this game is it’s schedule. I’ve been long looking for a fictional hockey management game with NHL style schedule, i.e. uneven distribution of games. You can play back-to-back games, have a brutal stretch with 9 games in 13 days and then have a very relaxing 2 games in 9 days (see screenshot).
I also like the complexity of the game. You have to take care of your finances as well and you really have to plan ahead. You just simply can’t stack your roster with top stars because you’ll go bankrupt very fast. You can trade with other managers (lively community on the forums and discord as well), scout draft prospects and then select the ones you aim to draft.
The site is very clean, user-friendly and mobile responsive as well (tho for the managing part I use desktop as there is simply more info on one screen).
The game is still work in progress with lots of planned features that are added over time and the game grows all the time. That’s why it’s not a 10 yet, there are still some game-play features missing (most important one is for me injuries) and some that need a little more depth and tweaking (draft selection, tactics…) that are in development.
