Lasting Legacy

User Rating: 9.5

I’ve been enjoying football sims for over a decade across various sites, and this one has been the most positive community you will find. The devs constantly address and welcome feedback, and will implement ideas of users if they think it will go over well with the community. While not a perfect game, everyone feels on the same playing field in terms of “path to success.” I’ve seen someone take over a struggling program, land some difference maker recruits and head towards bowl eligibility within a season, and a different program build up from a 1-win first season to a playoff competitive roster in season five.

SimSN focuses largely on college football, but it has added college basketball and professional leagues for each sport as well. There is a current implementation to add collegiate and pro hockey in the near future, as well as potentially baseball on the horizon. However, if you only want to participate in one or two leagues, that’s perfectly fine as well.

While the devs deserve much praise, SimSN is entirely built by its community. Many users have been around each other across sites for potentially over a decade, but new members are welcomed in and integrated into the community as if they’ve been around just as long. It’s about as “family” as a bunch of internet sports fans spread across the globe can get.

You can do all of the necessary things to create a winning program in as little as 15 minutes per week, but you’ll likely end up hanging out for hours each day.
